So which is it?
96-99 I30's share many components with the 4th gen maxima, but the I30 name has been around since 1996, while the Maxima name has been around for a while.

I'd call it a Cefiro that lost it's identity when coming to North America

an I30 is still a 4th Gen Cefiro. Its just unfortunate they only came to North America with a slushbox 4 spd auto.
But back to the point, an I30 from 95-99 is a 4TH GEN CEFIRO!!!

Hey man, the 96 and 97 I30's are available with a 5 speed as well!
