but anyways most likely the warrenty is expired so ill move on to the next question...

code i pulled was 0154 which indicates front, bank 2, o2 sensor

P0154 - Heated Oxygen Sensor 1 Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 2)

anyone know how hard it is to change that one?

Well hello everyone!

It's been a while, and i'm on here often, but dont post as much.

Anyways, I've decided that i finally wanna say good bye to the maxima.

The car just doesn't make me as happy as it used to, so i'm moving on to another member of the Nissan Family, which i will announce shortly. The maxima is still in storage from the winter, and i've been driving my mom's Lexus for the past little bit.

Anyways, i just pretty much wanted to post this as a heads up to those ...

Things needed to be done is some rust repair near the floor of Passenger side. I would say 6"sq. some more rust repairs near passenger quarter panel rear. And finally roof rust repair that is repaint the roof.

Please advise.

SO as some of you new I recently swapped my springs to eibach. I have been on KYB GR2s for about 3 yrs now (not same ones but same setup). So the final setup for suspension is:

Hey guys,

Last week, I finally got the passenger side axle out. The key I found was just to remove the bracket, and slide the whole assembly out.

Will a 5.5gen muffler fit a 4th gen?

Is it possible to install a 5.5gen (2k2-2k3) muffler onto a 4th gen? I've been hearing a lot of .orgers say it can be done, but my mechanic had told me it wouldn't fit. The only major difference seems to be the inlet locations (5.5gens have an offset inlet whereas 4th gens have a centre inlet).

Assuming this can be done, how extensive are the modifications to have this done? Thanks guys!

Will this Cat fit?

Hey guys, I'm about to purchase a Magnaflow cat for my '97. Since it already has a Budget ypipe & bpipe, I figure I should get a cat with a 2.5" inlet & outlet. However, is it worth paying extra for a cat with flanges, or should I just go with this one without flanges:

http://www.jegs.com/i/Magnaflow/642/94306/10002/-1

I can get this cat for $95 cash locally.

Also, I can't remember if there is an o2 sensor in the cat, but if anyone knows if there is one, can you let ...

Passing emissions test - help needed

So I took the '97SE in for an emissions test and it failed It did pass 2 years ago with the same budget y-pipe, resonated b-pipe & OEM muffler, but this time, I had on a new $110 cheapy oem-looking muffler.

The car passed everything expect the hydrocarbon test (HC) where it scored 98 (limit was 60).

Here are possible reasons I came up with:

1) There's a leak between the b-pipe & muffler because the muffler's inlet is 2.25", whereas the b-pipe's outlet is 2.5". ...

CV Drive axles - where to buy boot kit?

While doing a brake job this week, I discovered a torn boot on the drivers side axle (on the '97). There's grease all over the place, it's nasty! Does anyone know where I can buy a boot kit locally? Does Canadian Auto Electric have them? What about CT?

VQ30DET exhaust manifolds on a FWD VQ30DE

So I've just sourced myself a pair of exhaust manifolds of a VQ30DET and I'm considering using them on my Maxima. The manis fit no problem, but the crossover pipe will have to be modified to clear the coolant tubing and starter. That's not really a big issue.BUT...

The FWD has a ypipe and the RWD has a single downpipe. The FWD VQ runs 2 O2 sensors, a front bank and a rear bank...one in each downpipe of the ypipe. How would I run both O2 sensors if I am feeding the rear bank exhaust gases ...
