Will this Cat fit?

Post by Nathan on Thu Apr 24, 2008 9:52 am

Hey guys, I'm about to purchase a Magnaflow cat for my '97. Since it already has a Budget ypipe & bpipe, I figure I should get a cat with a 2.5" inlet & outlet. However, is it worth paying extra for a cat with flanges, or should I just go with this one without flanges:

I can get this cat for $95 cash locally.

Also, I can't remember if there is an o2 sensor in the cat, but if anyone knows if there is one, can you let me know (no, I'm not lazy...I'm at work so I can't check it).

On my 96, there is a an 02 in the cat, but I think you should be fine if you get a cat without a o2 spot, and just have me muffler shop weld in an o2 bung just after the cat.

97-99 have the 02 bung in the b-pipe after the cat. Why not just get the Budget highflow cat for 150? That's what I got. Comes with flanges.
