Another 4th gen goes to the graveyard

Post by mchapel on Sun Mar 30, 2008 11:46 am

Yesterday afternoo, as I was proceeding thru a green light, a woman in a minivan went thru her red light and t-boned my Maxima square in the passenger-side door affraid , pushing the seat into the centre console and jamming the door into the dash so that I had to use a pry bar to get the glove box open.

Pics are up on the Facebook/TMEC page....can't get them to link here....

I'm OK....it seems....but I'm heading to the doctor tomorrow for a check-out.

As to what I'm gonna get next....well, it been a less than stellar year financially...so I might be picking up a newer 4th gen in good shape...possibly even an I30....my 1st car with an automatic in more than 30 years! Embarassed

I left you a long message on FB, but again - always hurts to see the original gangsters lose their ride. Glad you are doing well though. Keep us posted.

So sorry to hear this!
Glad you're okay! Good thing there was no one in the passenger seat, at least there is that to be thankful for.
Don't go auto! If you look hard enough, I'm sure a 5sp I30 might come up

Sorry to hear about this Mark, this is horrible news. Be sure to go get checked one week later after the initial checkup, as some injuries show up later.

I hope you get an I30! Join the club Smile

Chappy. Glad to hear you're ok. Cars come and go, and I'm glad yours made sure you're ok before it went.

Hope everything works out well Smile

Thanks everyone. sunny

I'm off to drive the rental Malibu thru the fog up to Deerhurst for a last-minute gig with the Arrogant Worms. I'd keep in touch, but my laptop got stolen out of my car a couple of weeks ago.....maybe my luck will start to change for the better...trying to convince the wife that we should go slightly into debt for an 04 Maxima M6 with 88,000km & full CarProof report and service history for less than $15k....wish me luck!!!!
